Mission Statement

Dalriada Preparatory Department is a non-denominational school dedicated to the provision of a well-balanced education which promotes the all round development of our pupils. We believe that pupils who are happy and content make the best progress in school. We provide a stable, secure and stimulating environment which enables our pupils to achieve the highest possible standards, academically, socially and physically. While enjoying the many benefits and facilities of being part of a large school, Dalriada Preparatory Department retains the caring, friendly atmosphere unique to small primary schools. This friendly atmosphere fosters warm relationships and a genuine sense of partnership between the staff, our pupils and their parents, who are always welcome in the school. In Dalriada Prep we are committed to providing an education tailored to suit each pupil. We are sympathetic and responsive to each pupil’s needs, talents and aspirations and we value individual endeavour, initiative and independence of thought. We promote a genuine desire to learn and we provide our pupils with experiences, visits and activities which support and enhance the classroom teaching. We encourage each pupil to seek and respect the traditional values of truth, honesty,

endeavour and self discipline. In so doing we have a happy and highly successful school.
